How did you get better at Rust gunfights without constantly losing kits?

How do you guys actually practice Rust combat?

I'm fine with farming and building, but the moment I get into a proper fight I feel like I forget everything.

Sometimes I miss easy shots, sometimes I take terrible positions and sometimes I just panic.

Would appreciate some actual advice beyond "just get better" lmao.

Stop taking every fight when you have your best gear. Sounds obvious but it makes a difference.

Practice recoil and learn when to stop shooting and reposition.

Positioning is honestly underrated. You don't need perfect aim if you're constantly fighting from bad angles.

Also listen. Rust audio can tell you a lot about where people are moving.

I always panic when someone appears behind me. My brain just disconnects.

lol happens to everyone. Play slower, use cover and don't expose yourself just because you heard footsteps.
